What is a WiFi Adapter? How does it work? Why do you need an external WiFi adapter?

What is WiFi Adapter ?

There is a question that has puzzled me these days. That's the question, what is a WiFi adapter? I wouldn't be surprised if someone asked this question. This is the question that many people ask. 😳😳😳😳😳

One from Messenger, What is a WiFi Adapter? The question is where to use it. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 So I am writing this letter. ✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️ There are even people who are attending my training. ☺️☺️☺️

Everyone should know what is WiFi Adapter .

Everyone reading this today probably has a phone, even if they don't have a computer. And depending on where you live, even if you've never used WiFi, you've probably streamed movies with Zapya. That is, in order to download Zapya, you have to create a WiFi connection from one phone, and the rest of the phone can connect. Similarly, when we use our phones to connect to the WiFi line broadcast from a WiFi AP, we can go to the WiFi location in the phone's Settings and connect.

It can be connected because the phone has a WiFi adapter. If you don't have a WiFi adapter, you can't do that. Also, laptops have a WiFi adapter so they can connect to WiFi. Desktop PCs do not include a WiFi adapter, so you can use WiFi after installing an external adapter.

In the simplest terms, a WiFi adapter is something that captures WiFi channels.

Why do we need WiFi Adapters?

Phones also come with WiFi adapters, and laptops also come with WiFi adapters, and even those who know what an adapter is, are confused as to why they still need a WiFi adapter.

We need an adapter for any of the following situations.

1. It is needed when you want to use it in places far away from the Access Point (AP). The adapters included in our phones and laptops are quite small in size. So they don't have space to install things like antenna towers. So their capture ability is low.

For example, let's say my neighbor's house (or shop) has WiFi. When I take this from my house and use it, I can connect the line, but I see that the line is bad. If you look at it from phones or computers, you will see that there are fewer blocks in the WiFi image. Those little blocks are called Signal.
The less signal blocks, the less you can get a full connection.

Routers (APs) broadcast these signals so that we can use WiFi.

Routers have a range that they can transmit well depending on their transmitting power. If we're more than that darn distance away, we won't be able to connect.
Similarly, the WiFi cards that we have also have the range that they can capture and the frequency that they can work with. So, the WiFi cards in our Laptops & Phones can work well near the router that transmits the WiFi called AP, but the line drops as soon as we walk away from the AP.
If you have experienced some inconvenience when playing games in the back of the house with a router in front of the house, you can understand.

We need WiFi Adapters when we want better Performance.

As mentioned above. Our WiFi adapters have limited functionality. If you want better than that, you need an external WiFi adapter. Even though I'm far from the router (AP), my adapter can capture it from a long distance, so it's convenient.

We need adapter when we want to use more.

We use virtual machines and when we need to use WiFi in these virtual machines, In order to do WiFi hacking, you will need an external WiFi adapter in situations such as when you don't want to interrupt internet access when airmon-ng and the adapter are switched to Monitored Mode.

We may need it for WiFi Hacking .
I think this is more clear. When doing WiFi hacking, it is necessary to have adapters with better performance than the WiFi adapters that come in laptops.

If we want to buy Adapter, which ones should we buy?

It is recommended to use ALFA adapters. Long range. connection is stable.
Windows, Linux & Mac. You can also download drivers from alfa.com.tw.

This one is better

His performance is amazing. It can transfer data up to 600Mbps with 2.4GHz and even up to 1300Mbps with 5GHz.

Thank you for reading.
